last week i wrote finding my voice. i then pressed send, dogged deep, and talked with Kim.
days later, i realized, i am too broad with loveORfear. no one understands (not even me) what’s loveORfear exactly about. unknowingly, i have been trying to target a wide range of topics and a large audience. but instead i need to niche down.
i need to know my audience to whom i am speaking to. without that, i am lost. when i try to speak to everyone, i don’t speak to anyone. and this can do harm for a business.
my next steps are clear — i put everything on hold. my primary and only focus is to define an audience for loveORfear.
there are roughly three groups:
- resentful of spirituality
- newbies in spirituality
- experienced in spirituality
each group equals a different approach. therefore picking one (and niching down) shapes the language i speak.
in the upcoming weeks we will write down what (spiritual) bullshit means to us. with Kim, this is our homework. she will write down her thoughts. and i will write mine. and then we’ll share them. this will give us a feel on where we stand. is there synergy and can we swim together in the foundation we create.
this is brainstorming time.
and you can help us. we appreciated your input. so share away…
what does bullshit mean to you?
go hard. define it with your words. we would love to hear from you.
just to give you a simple example — for me, i don’t think you need to be vegan, do yoga, practice meditation, read bunch of self-help books, go to retreats, attend to workshops in order to go from fear to love. and most certainly, you don’t need to let go, stop negative thoughts, silence your mind, and be nice to everyone. you don’t need to do any of that to shine. to be loved. there’s a new paradigm that adds flavors to the old ways of being, thinking and doing.
c’mon, what about you — where do you see bullshit to be?
blow our brains with your words. they can make a difference. and (most certainly) they will make us better.
xoxo,
